Terms & Conditions – Hideaway Sauna

Welcome to Hideaway Sauna (“we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking, using our website, or visiting our facilities, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use our services.

1. Bookings & Eligibility
1.1 How to book
All bookings are made online via our website www.hideawaysauna.ie using our booking system. Your booking is confirmed only when payment has been successfully completed and you receive a confirmation email.

1.2 Age requirements

Our sauna, hot tub and cold plunge are generally for 18+ only.
-
The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.
​
1.3 Group bookings
For private hire, large groups, or special events not listed on the booking system, please contact us directly at info@hideawaysauna.ie. Different terms (including deposits and cancellation policies) may apply for group bookings.
​
1.4 Accurate information
You agree that all information you provide (name, email, phone number, etc.) is accurate and that you will update us if anything changes that could affect your booking.

2. Prices, Payment & VAT
2.1 Prices
All prices are listed in euro (€) and include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. We may update prices from time to time. The price shown at the time of booking is the price that applies to that booking.

2.2 Payment
Payment is taken at the time of booking through our online checkout (for example, card payment, Apple/Google Pay or other methods we may offer). Bookings are not secured until full payment has been received.

2.3 Errors
If there is a clear pricing or booking error (for example, a technical glitch or obvious misprice), we reserve the right to correct it and either:

offer you the option to keep the booking at the correct price, or
-
cancel and refund the booking.

3. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

3.1 Cancellations by you
-
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your session for a full refund.
-
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session are non-refundable.
​
3.2 Rescheduling by you
-
You can reschedule up to 5 hours before your session, subject to availability.
-
Reschedules less than 5 hours before the start time may be treated as a late cancellation and are non-refundable.
​
Reschedules and cancellations must be made using the link in your confirmation / upcoming booking email or through the account/booking tools we provide.
3.3 No-shows
If you do not attend your booking and have not cancelled or rescheduled within the times above, the booking is treated as a no-show, and no refund or credit will be issued.

3.4 Late arrivals
Your session starts at the time stated in your booking confirmation. If you arrive late, your session will still finish at the scheduled time and no additional time or refund will be provided.

3.5 Cancellations by us
We may need to cancel or reschedule your booking due to, for example, unsafe weather, maintenance, technical issues, staff illness, or other events outside our control.

Wherever possible, we will offer you an alternative time or a full refund of the session fee.

We are not liable for any additional costs you incur (e.g., travel, accommodation, lost income).

3.6 Cooling off
Because our sessions are services related to leisure activities at a specific date and time, the usual 14-day ‘cooling-off’ period for online purchases does not apply. Instead, the cancellation and rescheduling rules in this section apply. This does not affect your statutory rights.

4. Gift Vouchers & Promotions
4.1 Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid only for Hideaway Sauna services and cannot be exchanged for cash.
-
Vouchers are valid until the expiry date shown at purchase or in the email confirmation.

Once a booking is made using a voucher, our standard cancellation and rescheduling rules apply. If a booking paid with a voucher is cancelled outside the refund window, the voucher may be considered used.

4.2 Promo codes & offers
-
Discount codes must be entered at checkout; they cannot be applied retrospectively.
-
Promotions, discounts or bundles may have their own specific terms which will apply in addition to these Terms & Conditions.

We may withdraw or change promotions at any time.

5. Health, Safety & Medical Considerations
5.1 Health declaration
By booking and using our facilities, you confirm that:
-
You are in good physical health and able to use sauna, hot tub and cold plunge facilities safely.
-
You have no medical condition that would make heat, cold exposure, or rapid temperature changes unsafe for you.
5.2 If you have a medical condition
Our experiences may not be suitable if you have, for example:
-
heart or circulation problems
-
high or low blood pressure
-
respiratory issues
-
epilepsy or seizures
-
serious skin conditions
-
are pregnant
-
or any other condition where heat or cold exposure is not advised.
If you are unsure, you must speak to a doctor before attending. You are responsible for assessing your own health and deciding whether to participate.
5.3 Alcohol, drugs & impairment

You must not use our facilities while under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, or any substance that may impair your judgement.
-
We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask you to leave if we believe you are under the influence or behaving unsafely. No refund will be given in this case.
5.4 Hydration & safe use
You are responsible for staying hydrated and using the facilities sensibly, including taking breaks, cooling down and exiting the sauna if you feel unwell. If you feel dizzy, faint, short of breath, or unwell at any time, you must exit immediately and inform staff.
5.5 Waivers
You may be asked to sign or accept a waiver and/or health declaration during the online booking process or on-site. By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge and agree to any such waiver in addition to these Terms.

6. Use of Facilities & Customer Conduct
6.1 General rules
While on site, you agree to:
-
follow all instructions given by staff and all signage on site
-
use the facilities in a respectful and safe manner
-
wear appropriate swimwear and footwear as required
-
keep noise to a reasonable level and respect neighbouring properties.
6.2 Prohibited items & behaviour
For safety and hygiene, you must not:
-
bring glass or sharp objects into or near the sauna, hot tub or cold plunge
-
smoke or vape within the facilities or any non-smoking areas
-
behave aggressively, abusively, or in a way that may disturb or endanger others.

6.3 Refusal of service
We reserve the right to refuse entry, remove any person from the premises, or terminate a session without refund if these rules are not followed or if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.

7. Personal Belongings
7.1 Your responsibility
You are responsible for your own belongings at all times. This includes items such as phones, smartwatches, jewellery, glasses, clothing, towels and bags.
​
7.2 Loss or damage
We are not liable for any lost, stolen or damaged personal property, except where required by law.
​
8. Weather & Outdoor Environment
8.1 Outdoor conditions
Hideaway Sauna operates in an outdoor environment. Surfaces may be wet or slippery, and weather may be cold, rainy, windy or otherwise unpleasant.
You agree to:
-
take care when walking on wet, uneven or icy surfaces
-
wear suitable footwear when moving around the site
-
follow any instructions from staff regarding safe access and movement.
8.2 Natural surroundings
If there are natural features nearby (e.g., fields, woodland, water), entering them is entirely at your own risk. Our responsibility is limited to the areas we operate and control.

9. Assumption of Risk & Liability
9.1 Inherent risks
You understand that sauna, hot tub and cold plunge use involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
-
exposure to high and low temperatures
-
dehydration or overheating
-
cold shock
-
slips, trips and falls.
By using our facilities, you accept these risks and agree to use the facilities responsibly.
9.2 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law:
-
We are not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of our facilities where you have failed to follow instructions, ignored health advice, or acted negligently or recklessly.

Our total liability in connection with any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking, except where such limitation is not allowed by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Privacy & Data
We collect and process personal data in order to manage bookings, process payments and improve our services.

11. Intellectual Property
All content on our website and marketing materials (including text, images, logos and graphics) is owned by or licensed to Hideaway Sauna and may not be copied or used without our permission.

12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a new “Last updated” date and will apply to bookings made after that date.

13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
